    Pacific Press ®  Announces First Multi-Media Book Sale 

      

    Nampa, Idaho (August 30, 2010) — Pacific Press®, in a joint effort with Review and Herald®, announces the first-ever online book sale in collaboration with www.AdventistBookCenter.com, Hope Channel, and Hope Church Channel.

    The event airs on Sunday, September 12, 2010, when viewers can take advantage of 30 combined releases from the publishing houses. Pacific Press® president, Dale Galusha, reports, “In an effort to share the blessing of the written word effectively and maximize convergence, we are excited to announce our collaboration with Hope Channel on this project.”

    More than 5,000 promotional DVDs, which feature Elder Don Schneider, have been sent to churches across the NAD and pastors are encouraged to share them with their members on September 4 and September 11.

    We are blessed in Mid-America with seven of our nine states listed on www.msnbc.com as among "10 states with ridiculously low unemployment." Click here to read the story.

    All of our conferences have at least one state among the top 10. The only states left out are Colorado and Missouri.

    The only states outside Mid-America Union that are included among the top 10 are Hawaii, Vermont and New Hampshire.

    So yes, finances are always a challenge, yet MAUC is much better off than most regions.

    Mid-America Union Passes 64,000 Membership Mark
     
    The latest baptism report for Mid-America has answered the 64,000-member question. With 486 newly joining the Seventh-day Adventist Church during the second quarter of 2010--106 more than the same quarter last year--membership in the Mid-America Union now totals 64,034.
